What's good fellow Met fans?
I am Peter G. Uliano , I am 26 years old and Happily married to a Gorgeous Mets fan named Jennifer. I live in Westchester and im a HUGE Mets fan. I started this Blog/Website because I was fooling around buying domains and saw that thenymets.com was available so after saying "Wow I cant believe no one owns that Domain" I started this site with the help of my Aunt Camille Uliano (another huge Mets fan) Camille does most of the writing while I focus on Site design, Branding and Marketing. Camille is probably the reason I am a Mets fan, since I was born into a family full of yankee fans. She started Brain Washing me at an early age (lol). I couldn't be happier and I HATE THE YANKEES! (Sorry). Camille also deserves credit for the name "METventure". I hope you have a great day and.........

Danny Melendez--Staff Writer
My day job is as an English/Film Studies Teacher. I am a writer with
many passions and concerns. In addition to writing about The Mets, I
am a Jazz critic, political junkie, Dylan/Beatles head, Alfred
Hitchcock afficianado, and I love the woods and wildlife of New
England. All of these and more, are my prime topics for writing.
I have been a Mets fan since their inception in 1962. My favorite year
was 1969. My favorite players from that era were Tom Seaver, Cleon
Jones, and Jerry Koosman. I am progressive in most of my thinking, but
am a traditionalist when it comes to baseball. I don't like the
designated hitter rule of the American League and I cringe at the
thought of instant replay. My favorite author (currently) is E. L. Doctorow. I highly recommend all of his books; but especially "World's Fair" and "City of God".
I am a native New Yorker and currently live in Westchester County.

Hey, My name is Danny Melendez. I'm a 30 yr. old lifelong Mets fan. I grew up in Queens then traveled around for most of the past ten years, always keeping tabs on my boys. Now I live in New Jersey with my girlfriend Kris. Besides writing about the Mets I also run an artist zine called Shakefist Magazine. Previously I have written show and band reviews for a record label named F Nice Records.
I enjoy sports, going to shows, watching movies, and reading books by authors like Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, Ernest Hemingway, Michael Crichton, and Chuck Klosterman.
